Feifan Hong
Full Time Piano Teacher
Grade 10 Piano Performance Certificate (the highest level), equivalent to ABRSM Grade 8
Have been learned and played the piano for 15 years, have been teaching 4 years. I have been teaching both kids and adults. The highest grade taught is Grade 3.
I graduated with a master\'s degree from the University of Cambridge and I was from Girton College, University of Cambridge. Founded in 1869, Girton College is one of the largest colleges at Cambridge and is famous for music and art. I have participated in the concerts in the UK, France, and Russia. I am also the accompaniment luthier of the Cambridge University Choir. I have performed at King’s College, Trinity College and Churchill College at Cambridge. I ever won the title of outstanding piano performer in the Xinghai Cup National Competition in China. For adults, learning a new skill as a working adult can be very difficult, and finding personal time to take on a new hobby can sometimes be the hardest part. I will make the process as easy as possible for even the busiest person, to make them find it engaging, challenging, relaxing, and a lot of fun. I will use different types of popular music that different students like to educate and play, and it will be easier for them to understand the music.
For kids, I will make the kids be able to connect with me. Always use the games and teaching tools to make my lessons fun. In addition, in the introductory stage of piano, I will especially emphasize basic skills, fingering and hand shapes, visual notation learning, and basic music theory knowledge, since these are the cornerstones that determine how far students can go in playing piano in the future. For children, I have years of teaching experience, and I have a sense of responsibility, patience, and will teach each child carefully.
